Cloud computing is revolutionising the way firms across the entire world work and is behind many of the huge improvements that are being made on an almost constant basis.
John Sculley, former Apple chief executive and a legend of Silicon Valley, explained the rate of development in computing at the moment has never been experienced before.
He described it as an "amazing time", with solutions available to firms often so good that they could not even have been imagined just two or three years earlier.
"It's even more amazing than when I joined the computer industry 30 years ago when we just starting this journey of what you could do with personalised computing," Mr Sculley stated.
At the current time, it seems the cloud is of interest to organisations in all four corners of the world, no matter how big or small.
Howard Baldwin, writing for Computerworld US, recently suggested it could be the answer for the US public sector.
